Year 1948. The company Talleres Urpinas S.A. is founded in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, at the initiative of Mr. Joaquin Urpinas after gaining high professional experience by working in different mechanical companies from 1936 to 1948. Year 1949. The company starts working in the field of “Methode Champenoise” designing projects of special machines. The serice of maintenance is launched. Year 1955. The firm moves to its new facilities in Sant Vicenç dels Horts. Year 1982. Joaquin Urpinas, son of the founder, and his wife take charge of the company. Year 1987. The firm moves to the industrial polygon of Sant Vicenç dels Horts. Year 1995. Urpinas develops and manufactures the first machines for the emptying, liquor dispensing and filling of bottles according to “Methode Champenoise”. Year 2001. The Company designs and builds disgorging machines. Year 2002. Thinking about its evolution and future, the company starts to develop its quality policy with the goal to be certificated by ISO 9001 standards. Year 2003. Urpinas obtains the ISO 9001:2000 standards. Year 2004. Urpinas acquires the rights to manufacture “Sabat” neck freezing machines. Year 2005. Urpinas designs and elaborates a new compact machine for the whole process of méthode Champenoise. Year 2007 Facilities are being increased by 500m² for the administration, commercial and design departments. Year 2008 The newly R&D and innovation management system is made based on the UNE 166.002 standards. Urpinas celebrates its 60th anniversary. |
